​SoundsArchaic is a resource for musical projects and works by Dann Michael Torres a composer and multi-instrumentalist living in Pasadena, CA. 
​Dann has a long history as a string player, session musician and recording artist and has worked with a variety of musicians and composers in the studio and in live performance.   Throughout the years, he has been employed extensively in Los Angeles - playing concerts in private and commercial settings; and has been composing music for film & TV for the past 2 decades.  As a diversified and passionate string player - Dann's musical experience and creative output has crossed over multiple musical contexts, blurring the lines between genres from modern classical, cinematic and experimental music to ambient, minimal, drone, and world music.

Dann's current projects Meanderings, Khidirpur and D Michael, utilize his knowledge of acoustic sources, strings and sound design to create themes of introspection - employing a variety of compositional techniques such as electro-acoustic manipulation, ambient distress, and field recordings - alongside modern and traditional instrumentation.
